Senate

The Senate is responsible for meeting to address student concerns and issues through legislation. Their meetings are ran through Robert's Rules of Order with the exception of the guidelines provided in these By-laws. 

The Senate also has committees that work to address issues for the student body based on the type of committee. The following are the standing committees within the Senate: 

  • Governance Committee: holds the authority to interpret the GSBA constitution and its associated By-laws and Election Code.
  • Finance Committee: reviews club funding requests
  • Academics Committee: responsible for all matters pertaining to academic affairs in the University
  • Student Development Committee: responsible for gathering student opinions and all matters related to student life and affairs
  • Health & Safety Committee: responsible for all matters pertaining to the health, safety and fundamental wellbeing of Gonzaga students with an emphasis on drugs, alcohol, Title IX, mental health and applicable resources
