Service in Action
Semester of Service in Spokane
Our Zag Volunteer Corp students volunteer weekly through the semester at a local nonprofit to improve local housing, alleviate poverty and hunger, and promote social justice in our community.
At Gonzaga, we act on behalf of the common good and local communities. From volunteering at homeless shelters, to mentoring youth in our public schools, to promoting social justice across the world, our students make a difference in the lives of others – and are transformed along the way.
The Center for Community Engagement coordinates community and public service programs, including community engaged learning courses, community-based volunteer and outreach programs, and external volunteer projects. We offer a variety of opportunities to support causes that matter to you, develop valuable leadership skills and carry out Gonzaga’s Jesuit mission of working in and with communities.
We offer a variety of opportunities to serve your community. Gonzaga’s CCE will help connect you with programs and partners that align with your passion. Whether you want to mentor the next generation of Zags, work for positive change in Spokane, or make a global impact, there is a place for you to serve. Explore the options at our "All Service Opportunities" page.
If you would like personal assistance, the CCE will be holding virtual office hours. Virtual office hour details will be posted soon. Please check back again for the updated link in the coming weeks.
