Parent & Family Orientation
Parent and Family Orientation (PFO) will take place on campus, August 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2022.
Welcome ZagFam!
This itinerary is from Parent & Family Orientation 2021 for reference only. The 2022 itinerary will be posted here in late July / early August.
We are very excited to welcome you to the community! As you've been preparing to move your Zag onto campus we have been planning an orientation program that will provide you with a wealth of knowledge, a sense of calm, and confidence that your student is indeed at their home away from home.
We would like to provide you with some information regarding what the move-in process will look like on Friday, August 27th as well as some guidelines that will be in place throughout your time on campus.
Move-In (campus map)
- Arrive at your designated move-in time as shown on your student's ZagLiving homepage
- Park in the BARC Parking Garage
- Head to Foley Lawn for Check-In's
- Separate (let the transition begin) for New Student Check-in & Parent and Family Check-in
- Student's continue on to the Housing/ZagCard tent
- Reunite behind the check-in tents for a ZagFam photo!
- Separate (let the transition begin) for New Student Check-in & Parent and Family Check-in
- Move-In to residence hall (East Campus, West Campus)
- Continue on to your Parent & Family Orientation schedule
- Visit the Zag Fest community fair on Herak Quad
- Come back to Foley Lawn to visit US Bank and Zag Dining
- Take a tour of campus starting in front of College Hall
Community Health & Safety Guidelines
- If you are feeling ill, or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please help keep our campus safe and stay at home
- Please wear a face-covering in all indoor settings whether you are vaccinated or unvaccinated
- Please wear a face-covering on campus at all times, indoor or outdoor, if you are unvaccinated
- We will have disposable facemasks available if you need one
- As always, visit gonzaga.edu/zagon often for the most up to date information regarding our response to COVID-19
We greatly appreciate your commitment to joining our efforts to keep our community safe and healthy for a much anticipated in-person fall semester. Student and Staff volunteers will be providing friendly reminders of our indoor masking guidelines throughout the weekend.
Flights and Hotel Reservations:
If you plan to book a hotel, you should start as soon as your Zag has been formally accepted! Hotels in town, especially those close to campus, fill early. For information about hotels, see our Accommodations Page. For directions on how to get to campus, see our Transportation and Directions Page. Unfortunately, Gonzaga does not provide a shuttle service.
