Goal Five

Goal 5: 90% of undergraduate students successfully transition to their next educational, professional or vocational stage within one year of graduation, and at least 10% of these are engaged in an innovative or entrepreneurial venture. (Target: 2020)

Progress:

The 2020 First Destination Survey, released in March 2021, indicated that the success rate for the undergraduate class of 2020 was 85% (15% of students were still seeking employment or access to continuing education). With a knowledge rate of 78%, the categorical breakdown of their successes are:

% of Students Destination
60% Employed
18% Continuing Education
5% Volunteer Service
1% Military Service
1% Not seeking employment or other first destination

It should be noted that the First Destination Survey Outcome Success Rates dropped by almost 10 percentage points from 2019 (94%) for undergraduates as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.  A drop in employer confidence in hiring resulted in rescinded job offers and hiring freezes.
