Transfer Students

The School of Engineering and Applied Science has competitive, direct admission as an engineering major. This includes civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, engineering management as well as undecided engineering majors. Please note that direct admission does not apply to the computer science program. The Admission Committee requests that prospective transfer students meet the following criteria prior to admission:

Engineering applicants transferring with more than 30 semester / 45 quarter credits of academic coursework from a regionally accredited institution must:

1. Achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 in  one year’s worth of academic coursework from a regionally accredited institution;
2. Complete one year of college Calculus with a grade of 2.5 or higher in each course.

1. Meet Gonzaga’s high school admission requirements;
2. Complete one semester (or two quarters) of college Calculus with a grade of 2.5 or higher 
3. Complete at least one additional course in either Intro to Engineering, Programming, Physics, or General Chemistry.

Applicants who have earned a bachelor degree previously and wish to pursue a second undergraduate degree may apply to Gonzaga using the transfer admission process. As a post-bac student, a minimum of 30 semester credits must be completed in residence to qualify for a Gonzaga degree. Depending on your prior degree coursework, you may also be required to complete additional core and/or major requirements. In addition to meeting transfer admission criteria, international applicants should review and submit any additional requirements for International Transfer Applicants

Before a transfer application can be reviewed for an admission decision, all required materials must be submitted to the Office of Admission.

Students applying with less than 30 semester / 45 quarter credits earned:

• Transfer Application ($50 app fee)
• Transfer College Report
• Teacher Recommendation
• Final High School Transcripts
• Official College Transcripts (from all institutions attended, including college in the high school)
• SAT/ACT test scores (required for students under 21 years of age) *Gonzaga is test optional

• March 1^st –Financial Aid priority deadline
• June 1^st – Final fall application deadline

Fall Enrollment Decisions are due July 1st
Course registration for fall transfers begins in early May.

Spring Semester applications are due:

• November 15^th – Final spring application deadline

Spring Enrollment Decisions are due December 1^st
Course registration for spring transfers begins early December.
