Mission Statement
The purpose of the Moot Court Honors Council is to foster and promote practical experience as an integral part of our law school education through participating in and organizing school competitions and to foster teamwork and esprit de corps within and among the student body.
MCHC Activities
The Council is responsible for organizing and facilitating the competitions in which Gonzaga students compete. These competitions include:
- Negotiations Competition (Fall, Biennially)
- Client Counseling (Fall, Biennially)
- Linden Cup – appellate advocacy competition (Spring, Annually)
Membership
The Council holds regular meetings and requires members to perform service hours.
How to get on the Council:
The Gonzaga Moot Court Council is comprised of students who have reached the final round of an intra-school competition or who are members of a faculty selected team who will participate in inter-school competitions.
The teams are:
- National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC)
- Saul Lefkowitz
- National Trial Team
- Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court
